Hỏa Lò Prison, one of Indochina’s most fortified prisons, was notorious for its harsh conditions and brutal torture. Yet, political prisoners saw it as a “school” to spread revolutionary ideals.
Today, Hỏa Lò remains a "school" of history and patriotism, honoring the sacrifice of Vietnamese revolutionaries. A visit takes one on a journey from sorrow over past hardships to deep admiration for those who contributed to shaping Vietnam’s history.
